It allows me to get a plethora of sounds with my keyboard that would not be possible without controlling it via MIDI.
I just successfully updated mine using the Uno. I have tested my Midisport Uno on an XP computer - midisplrt the xp driver from your site and it works fine, so I doubt it is a problem with the hardware itself. I should have bought a 8x8 a month ago when people were giving them away.
